Salons and barbershops

Salon websites where booking is the whole point.

Your work sells the appointment. The site has to show it and then get out of the way.

A salon or a barbershop is chosen on two things: what the work looks like, and whether somebody can book it in under a minute at nine at night. That is the entire job. The stock photo of a woman in a robe and the paragraph about our philosophy are sitting between your next client and their appointment.

So the gallery and the booking link come first and everything else is built around them. Photos of real work, shot in your chair, arranged so a phone shows several at once. Your booking system, whichever one you already pay for, one tap from every screen. Services and prices written out plainly, because "call for pricing" is where a lot of first-time clients quietly close the tab.

Written by Nic Rodriguez, who built the salon sample this page links to, from the service prices down to the booking form. More about who builds this.

What salon and barbershop web design looks like when booking is the goal

  • A gallery of your real work, cropped for phones and quick to load
  • Your existing booking system, one tap away from every screen
  • A service and price list in plain language instead of a call-for-pricing wall
  • A page per stylist or barber, so a regular can book the person they trust
  • Hours, parking, and directions that make sense to somebody who has never been

A working sample build of exactly this kind of site. The business in it is invented. The site is not: every screen works, so you can judge the work rather than the description of it.

Questions we hear from salons and personal care.

Do I have to change my booking software?

No. We build around whatever you already use and put it one tap from every screen. Your clients keep their logins, you keep your calendar and your history. Changing booking systems is a business decision and not a website one, so it stays yours to make.

Can each stylist have their own page?

Yes, and it is usually worth more than another paragraph about the salon. Regulars book a person, not a shop, so a page per stylist with their own work and their own booking link is part of a standard build rather than an add-on.

Does this replace my Instagram?

No, and it should not try. The feed keeps doing what a feed does. What a website does that a feed cannot is show your prices, your hours, your location and a booking button to somebody who found you on a map at nine at night and has never heard of you. We link the two and let each do its own job.
